Sleepy Ass

This ass is tired. This ass has always been tired. This ass was tired at birth and has been managing the condition heroically ever since. They can fall asleep anywhere, mid-sentence, fully upright, during their own story. Coffee does not wake them so much as briefly negotiate. They treat mornings as a personal attack and naps as a serious spiritual practice. Any plan made before noon is purely theoretical. And yet, in the four alert minutes they get per day, they are sharper than anyone in the room, a gift they use mainly to announce that they are going back to bed. A master of rest in a world that will not stop.
