The other eight miles, the ones with the walking, the wheezing, and the sudden deep fascination with a bench, have been buried somewhere no follower will ever find them. It is not lying, exactly. It is aggressive editing. Their feed is a highlight reel of a movie that was, in truth, mostly a struggle.
